Shadow Work

First rays of sunlight, the cold breeze of autumn

The shadows fade by sight, the first leaves have fallen

Dancing, moved by sprites

Shining on the ground of golden

Death never felt so full of light

But again, all lights must eventually darken

Another path opens, another path burns

The ashes of my mind have tainted my face in the mirror

For whatever the path I follow, it never seems to matter

For everything I've touched, has always seemed to shatter

And every time I feel sadder, my thoughts take a trip to Saturn

To avoid facing what they're after, in this life or the other
