Not Today

Been on my own now, too long

Walked down the wrong path, too gone

Once wrote poetry, now only song

Insomniac, heart attack, a critical thinker

Lyrical poet, a habitual drinker

Inside my own head, going by my own vibe

Only got a few friends, as I'm from a small tribe

Would've been bigger, but my friends ain't alive

No they died, No they died, and I cried

I pray to God and angels in the sky

Tell me all their secrets, teach me how to fly

Cause I lead my horse to water, but the water run dry
