The Valley

Temperature rising in the valley these days Waking up, feeling the son, though the skies are grey

My G-O-D, been G-O-O-D to M-E, my great rod wielding shepherd watching over me

And my hometown can be so hard to go through

Too often I'm reminded of the times I would go through

But I'm thankful that he saw me and when I think about em now, I think how far he brought me man

Used to take shots at parties, now I'm taking shots at glory but not for me, no it's all for Him

I'm just a role up in His story how he picked me up and changed me, saved me from what I was living in

Now his word illuminating my path

I read it, lather rinse repeat it, then I run it back

And though I stumble, that don't stumble His love

I sold my soul to the world, he bought it back with his blood
