Thrashed

She showed up at the dock wearing boat shoes and a bottle of rye

She was aware of the storm started laughing at the big old sky

Don't sail out in these winds we pleaded and worried as she stood at the mast

I've played it safe my whole life now it's time to get thrashed

Those clouds are calling my name don't you hear them

I've tied enough knots to know that no one's ever safe

When I pull up these sails I'm gonna aim 'em so the winds hit 'em right in the eye

And then if make it watch me fly

And if I make it I will fly

Rain started beating town folk meeting no one could persuade her to stay
