Time

I remember when we used to jog early in the morning around the track

It was dark at first but then the sun came out and I watched you shine

And I was mesmerized as I watched you glow

Now every time I see a sunrise I think of you

Along with a dozen other things that remind me of when

You were once mine

And after all these years I've come to the conclusion that

Time doesn't heal all you just

Become more numb to the pain and become familiar with it

And then you just find other ways to cope

And I said that I'd wait for you
