The wind is playing with her laces as she's waiting for her train

The thoughts of letting go are pumping through her veins

Although she wants to hold on every single part

Her future self is laying heavy on her heart

And she's fighting every battle only to find her own idea of peace

But in war there's only losers, haunting creatures chasing dreams

And she's saying every prayer because she couldn't sing herself to sleep

Calling gods or summon demons with her last breath six feet deep

And as she's weighing up the choices for the better or the worse

Just one step ahead will countermand the curse
