The Last Time

Put on your boots, it's time to go

The moon might catch us but the sun won't yet know

Up 61 with a hot cup of coffee

And out past the quarry in the town of Ontelaunee

Where the farmer won't mind if we come

And park by the barn to go out and have us some fun

Out in the fields we were hunting for birds

And that late September sun rose like the jewel of the world

On me and my Dad and the old yellow dog

As good as they come always came when we called

She was a good one for flushing out quail
