Engine humming melodies, matching my heartbeat

Loneliness, my company, shadows in the backseat

Pills got me floating, colors blur and blend

Chasing after peace, but it's around the bend

Streetlights like spotlights on my solo show

Pain is the passenger that never lets go

Tires on the gravel, music up loud

Trying to drown the thoughts that always bring me down

Riding down these back roads, trying to escape my mind

Smoke clouds in the moonlight, leave the world behind
