I'm sorry dear father I can't bring you home

To the land where you worked and where our roots are sown

You toiled in the fields helped enthrone the king

But their cruelty knew no limit they did this terrible thing

You were born in that land it's been in our veins

But they cast us out left us with only pain

Oh father I wish I had the power to fight

But I'm weak and powerless in this plight

I want to hug my children feel their warmth once more
