And your mask slips just a little when you've had too much to drink

There's that voice that likes to tell you that the water isn't deep

You're a coward if you don't jump just to see if you might sink

Not going outside, just living your life as some other guy who's dying

Not walking the line, just killing some time under the florescent lighting

Now you're seasick and you're fighting every urge to lose your shit

There's no pleasure for the viewer if the actor can't commit

There's that voice back in your head now, telling you the past is fixed

And you're flopping like a fish out of water when the film crew clears the set
