Supposed To Be

Back against the wall, getting hard to stand tall

There's a part of me that wishes I would brace for the fall

And another part is preaching that I learn from the bruises

Either way, I'd rather dodge it and not deal with it all

Late at night, my ceiling still lock with my eyes

Missed calls, voicemails, I can't give em replies

On the screen so much, I'll let the battery die

The lost time is a burden I don't wanna revive

Isolating to cope, I ain't eager to move

Watching elephants walking, they keep circling rooms

Taking temperature, my thermostat ain't always consistent

Shadow of me has vanished, there ain't a time that I miss him
