Now I'm sweating bout what's next

Virulent and I'm swimming in the mess

Dogmatic, problematic there's a schism

And I think about the children, everywhere

That perish, without care, underneath

Empty skies, with no answer, no relief, no remorse and it doesn't sit right

Can't tailor any religion to make it fit right

Many nights I've prayed just to gain some insight

As to why, there's war and famine on the earth, why we hurt, why we suffer, why we kill, what's it worth

And they say, it's original sin, it's apart of your nature, deeper than your melanin

If there is a higher being, I think they lack empathy
