Sailing Home

I set sail years ago, with the wind in my hair

Chasing dreams on the ocean, beyond all care

The sea was my compass, its waves my guide

But the days turned to years, and time passed me by

Oh, the sea, it took me far and wide

But I never forgot the look in your eyes

Now I'm sailing home through the storm and the spray

Praying you'll be waiting at the break of day

I've seen distant lands, under strange, foreign skies

Met people and places with new, wondrous eyes
