Woke up one morning with an alert on my phone

Low balance messages on all the accounts that we own

I hear from my son's room a victory cheer

Battle royale on the screen it's crystal clear

He's up at dawn controller in hand

But now we're broke He has to be banned

Hours fly by he's glued to the screen

While our bank account's the lowest it's been

Fortnite fever it's taken its toll

thousands in V-Bucks vanished now we're in a hole
