On the battlefield brothers in arms my best friend is gone

Amidst bombs and noise I'm left alone feeling so forlorn

In his hand a necklace his memory love that left scars

Always remembering him on tough nights with pain in my heart and empty pockets

I was left with the necklace a warm hug from the past

Looking at it with teary eyes remembering him every day that passes

I promise to continue his path not to lose hope
