Perhaps in your absence I could learn to love myself better

Perhaps in the meantime I will grow into my skin like a sweater

Like back when I was a little kid and mom would buy clothes a size bigger

I'll plan ahead but not too far who knows what might happen

Perhaps when I'm older I'll look back on these heartbreaks more fondly

The lessons learned the stories gained the friends not so friendly

Blissful ignorance traded in for shameful nights feeling lonely

But solitude is no curse cuz I learned how to laugh by myself
