Lonely Street

Here I am just walking alone, such a shame how far we have grown apart

So many memories we could have shared, if only we continued to care from the start

If only we had an ounce of thought, we wouldn't have fought, no we didn't think at all

But what can we say, maybe it's too late, and for us, we have to bid good day

And it hurts me to say, that I accept defeat

And I'll go it alone, all the way down this lonely street

Now my life just flutters by, I think of you and there's a twinkle in my mind's eye

Then I picture all the things that we've done, the broken promises and what they might signify

If only we had a second chance to build a new romance, we wouldn't blow it all

But what can we say, maybe it's too late, and for us, we have to bid good day
