You swam here once before and of course you remember it

You drank the water, and dad did the Heimlich

And you were scared the sharks were gonna get you

But the only ones in the state were on your blue and white bathing suit

You were one to get pissy when they said you weren't permitted to

The big rollercoaster, come back when you're older

I think I know you better than anyone else ever did

From dad's shoulders, you liked feeling seven feet high

But I would give anything to see the world again through your eyes

Did you know that when you didn't wanna dive in you could've just said so

Now you're alone in the deep end

But young enough to hope you'll get out of it
