Cats Make It Chill

Morning light spills through the blinds, the coffee brews so slow

I stretch and yawn, my cat appears, ready for the show

He jumps onto the desk with grace, his paws tap on the keys

I laugh and push him gently off, "Not now, my little tease"

But he persists, with playful eyes, a nudge, a soft meow

I smile and start my work anew, with him beside me now

Lunchtime calls, I take a break, a sandwich and some tea

My cat curls up upon my lap, his warmth a comfort to me

I stroke his fur, he purrs aloud, a gentle, rhythmic sound

In this moment, all is calm, with peace and love abound

His eyes half-closed, he drifts to sleep, a peaceful midday nap
