Dancing on Thorns

The palace rooms are still so beautiful, a work of art

Empty stretches of corridors, the walls are staring blankly back at me

All the roses that we planted, they're still blooming, but the thorns, they have since fell

So I'm, not quite sure what this place needs to survive, but all I wanna do is dance

Shall we dance one night inside these walls again

Though beneath the steps we tread lies a thorn bed

Now that I look closely, the walls are all eroding, I can deal with that,

I didn't cut my hands Carving out this stone to leave it in the past

Are the roses really there or did my head fantasize a broken land

I can dance so very lightly, I don't feel nothing below me
