Deep in the base of the well lies a frozen tundra

Rounds of an icy lake trap the sinner guilty of treachery

Traitors and deniers of love and all human warmth

Eternally removed from the light and heat of the sun

Heads and necks exposed only to bow and allow some protection from the wind

as we witness betrayers of family ties, community, guests and lords gnaw at each other

"As they deny all human ties so are they bound only by the unyielding ice"

Rounds upon rounds of remorseless souls

Inhabit the crystalline landscape

Even tears are denied these sinners

The comfort of weeping denied to them
