Look Behind

I sat down with my Papaw the other day

He seemed a little distant, and didn't have that much to say

What's wrong Papaw? Then I saw the tears in his eyes

He said Boy I ain't complaining. I lived my life

Worked hard for my family. Raised three kids and loved my wife

But I can't quiet these questions that keep circling in my mind

Did I make a difference? Did I take a chance

When the music played, was I too busy to dance

It seems that the older I get, the more I look behind

Well I told him that I loved him, he made a difference to me
