Angels Wear Black

You tell me that it makes no sense and what we hold is an illusion

But a growing sense of symmetry has silenced my confusion

The darkness set my senses free and for the blinking of an eye

I saw an angel dressed in black before he faded in the night sky

I’m not looking for some common sense or a rational explanation

You don’t depend on answers when your seeking inspiration

I kept staring at the skyline in the hope that it would crack

But in my heart I think I always knew just why he was wearing black
