The Band

There was a band in my old neighborhood

The boys and me we played all night

We were pretty good

Gigging three nights a week and practice all the rest

It just would not do until we gave our best

And just like many things in life it went by way too fast

The years have rushed and I have too, but the memory will last

That moment when we sang as one, and thought we always would

We were the band

I never will forget those nights and all that harmony
