RattleSnake Hiss

Quite cries, pierce the skies, an echo of despair

Rattlesnake's hiss, a broken kiss, a reminder of what can't be repaired

Dusty trail, of dreamers lost in the golden light

But the inner grow, a steady flow, guidance seepin' through the night

Hawks circle high, in endless sky, a watchful eye on the wanderer's soul

Wind screams a tale, of a ancient trail, where keys of wisdom are shown

Sun-baked stones, etched with groans, of wrong paths I've taken and lessons learned

Desert trials, evermore, a compass towards which I've turned

Sun-baked earth, a brand new birth, new song played by the cracklin' sand

Under desert's hood, misunderstood, findin' my peace in this barren wasteland
