Does the buzzing ever seem to get too loud

After sacrificing dreams for intangible things?

All the fingernail nubs and pulled-out hair

Lets you know you're missing out on wedding rings

Yet, you still set out your clothes for your rerun days

And get your solid three hours of a good night's sleep

But it'll never quell the riots of your mental frays

Because you forged your own chains as a dopamine slave

Oh, so you're fine in your cage?

Complacent in the rain
