Liberation

The raging sea whips around this oarless vessel

And still there is no bailing land in sight

Among the stormclouds' dismal gathering

a ray of light relumes the sky

and outshines all lostness that can't be denied

There's no victory without conflict, fight and struggle

The more bright the dry land, the isle

For liberation it's worth to bear up any pain

Humiliation – the greater all the strength you gain

Self-affirmation – to put your feet on foreign ground

For liberation is the new courage that you've found
