Confessions Drive

It was a late summer night, sleeping in my car with the windows down, you found me

Of all the lost souls on that gravel road, if only I had known what that would cost me

I was awake when my grandma died, I watched the machine sputter and tried to project her life signs, maybe it's my fault she died

If I would've stayed by her side, maybe she would be alright, while she was fighting for her life

I was scroungin to get high with my guys, we would ride, but turns out they lied all the time

I'm once again presented with that similar fatality, my grandpa's in that same room, same floor, same paint color on them walls

It's not okay I see my hero like that, I cherish every moment that we spend

I don't know when's the last time I'll see him, I guess that's true for everybody

But once you in that bed, it sets in, to protect him, I'd run up on God with sets of depressed men expressing the need to cope with weapons

Cause we weren't taught how to handle this, punch the wall and break your hand again
