In My Mind

Before I take another hit to float away

I pray these dark clouds are not here to stay

Here today and they are gone tomorrow

But once it rains, is the sun sure to follow?

Life is so full of suffering and sadness

Will I win if I smile during the madness?

Or lose if I choose to stay trapped in

My imaginary lines?

All I know is how it feels to be by myself

All alone, feeling like the high is the only kind of help

When the low slips in and overshadows everything else
