Growing Up

Uh don't remember much from when I was young

I tried to block it out, you know the less you know the better

Never really asked my momma where we from

But I know we grew up hard and we didn't have a lot of show

I was born in Namibia, I moved away when I was three years old

Came to the UK with my momma, left our family at home

Prayed for years that our family could one day become whole

God done answered my prayers, I'm spending time with my bros

We was six children in a two bed house

Couldn't tell me I was struggling

Had food in my mouth, a meal on my plate

Thought that God was good, but looking back on life
