Why

He tries to understand what's going on

His life is out of control and spiraling down

He wonders if things will ever be the same again

The same as they once were, long before the end

If she had shared the things that weighed upon her mind

He may have understood the fear she hid inside

And though he spent his entire life trying to succeed

He stands alone surrounded by his shattered dreams

And he screams

We shouldn't have stayed up sharing all our hopes and dreams
