When the sun goes down, and you're laying in your bed

Now your thoughts melt down, you prepare for sudden death

As new sights unfold, our past life gets left behind

Then you enter the land where new stories are designed

Some say that dreams, they're a window to our soul

But mine showed a giraffe that was pole dancing on a pole

Through a maze-like school, doors are leading every way

On suburban streets, where my younger self would play

But why do we crave these nightly charades

It's an escape from the pain, all of life's masquerades
