I wear these locks upon my head

To each his own I've always said

You see me always saying hey show some respect

Cuz I've got my beliefs hanging around my neck

And I go a little farther just to further my knowledge

Cuz all I learned was drinking in my four years of college

I'm reading scriptures, spitting rhymes

Since I've learned drinking's a waste of my time

And I use to think about moving out

But I'm probably just gonna stay somewhere around here

And each day forth I swear I'll try

To better myself until the day that I die
