Morning Drive

The sun has barely made its way up yet he's up and dressed and moving out

He looks back and casts his eyes over his house in darkness that he leaves behind

Behind the wheel he is driving slow soaking up the morning sun as it rises

Those old familiar hills go rolling by as the others join this morning rush

He knows why we do these things each day we work our day to just earn our night

Don't get him wrong he's a working man but some days it just don't make sense

They call it making a living but I'm missing something here

Don't tell me that we're living when I am not supposed to care

He climbed the ladder thinking he was made but instead he seemed to lose his night
