Creeper

Every other day I try and another day will pass

A beautiful smell comes, goes through inside

Another day comes in, an evening starts a fight

Yesterday gives in, when the sloth comes every night

Every morning we think, this will be our day

Like a beautiful and clear sky at sight

And we're searching for a thing, a meaning, a joy

Then slithers the creeper in the night

A cynical new day says you're trying in vain

The happiness you find, only resides
