Real Good Day

When I got home from work today my little girl said Daddy come and play

(Well) I didn't have time but I played anyway

So we ran through the house and played with the dolls we colored pictures, put 'em on the wall

When she fell asleep in my arms I knew this had been a real good day

Have you ever stopped to think about what makes a real good day

I think its something simple for which you never have to pay

Well maybe someone has helped you or you helped someone else along the way

But its oh so special when you have a real good day

Have you ever been fishing with a little boy all day

Or worked really hard puttin' up a field of hay
