The Sea

The rain cloud she follows me, sometimes leaves me soaked to the bone

At times she's a drought, and other times a tsunami. At least I know I'm never alone

Cause when I feel that storm a coming, I can head back for the bay

Or I can turn and face the current, thinking that it's worth it, knowing my lighthouse is miles away

And if you need me, I'll be out on the sea. Cause I just can't seem to find my place on land anymore

And maybe I'll get lost in this squall. At least I stood tall.

You say head for the bay, and I say back to you, anchors away

I'm in the fog, it's choppy now. The gulls sing their sweet siren song to me

There's no stars to light my way, but through the tempest, I carry on

And now I see that the rain cloud she speaks to me. She says I'm not as brave as I claim to be
