I had a girl, a real-life princess

With a crown upon her head

But man, she was complicated

Like a Barrel I couldn't ride instead

She'd boss me around, like a tyrant on her throne

I needed an escape, a place where I could find my own zone

She'd demand attention, like a diva on a red carpet

But I had my sights set on the waves, where I could truly depart
