I was raised as a heathen with little to be believing

That was way before even thinking I should seed Him

I was rollin with them older homies showing me love

And not really wantin to walk with my Father above

I'd smoke a dub with the thugs and talk about God

But never even think about talking with the Son

I'd be up in the club and maybe rapping on tracks

Or maybe they be seeing me scratching the wax

Chasing them stacks and a slave to the flesh

Then I'd spark up a Philly while I wonder what's next

Heart pumping in my chest but it was up to no good

And a couple close calls had me knocking on wood
