I've been getting over the old me Listening to all of the wisdom my parents told me

Wifey on me saying it's time for a shift

I finally heard her pleas and stopped thinking she being mean to me

Juvenile and immature

I became a dad but I still was a kid for sure

Had my baby girl and that seemed to settle the score

For a little while yet I still was insecure Living pure, that was the facade I set aside

Full of foolish pride with the lie was set to die

I know it now, the truth anyone I dare deny

Everything that's done in the dark will come to light
