It's been how many years now, I can't even tell

Stranded on the island of your familiar patterns

I've written words for you, far too many to remember

But they've stupidly crashed like birds on your shutters

Your hand in mine becomes transparent

It seems like soon it won't be there

Won't be there

The boats were waltzing tenderly in the little harbour

The full moon solely shone to lighten up your amber eyes

And yet we somehow failed to mollify the anguish
