March Moon

As the march moon returns to its place in the sky

We howl at the glow til we see the child smile

She looks like her mother as she curls up her hands

And we bark and we snarl and delight in a dance

You gave up your body so we'd have a third

Who climbs on the window and pees without word

Still I try to remember how it used to be

And I'd rather have piss on the sill than more time for me

Peace don't come easy it came kicking and screaming

I hope she's like me in so many ways
