No, this is a lovely story that doesn't have a happy ending

I fell in love with a girl whose so called love for me was only pending

See, she wasn't sure so I couldn't have her

But we spent the whole summer together

We were unapologetic, running through the shores like little kids

And then we'd walk across the sunset with waves crashing at our feet

She felt at home in my arms, sharing a pair of headsets underneath the palms
