Growing Up

These past four years I've learned a lot, how can I complain

When other guys got locked up, tryna to earn a name

Going from a boy to a man, they said you had to be bold

Either have a girl on bended knee, or show an opp the end of the road

That's the place where I grew up, taught me the way of the land

A place where you don't have much luck, keep the blicky in your hand

I admit there were many things, that I couldn't understand

When you're a kid, you think life's a beach, not seeing that it's quicksand

My vision is clear, finally, time to see what I'm working with

Knowing what to avoid is critical, and worth it

And I didn't have to be 50, to have this epiphany

Being prepared gave me the strength, to not let problems get to me
