When you have closure, it gives you a sense of relief

And when you get it off your chest, you can finally breath

So don't hold it in, let it be free

Dear father, it's your son I want to close the chapter that we had

Let you know no matter what happened you're still my dad

As a kid you wasn't around much that's no reason to hold a grudge

I would rather show my appreciation to you and give you love

Over time you changed for the better allowed me to change my life to

And I am forever grateful there is no way that I will spite you

Even though there were things that you did to me, that cut me deep

And made me bleed we were able to patch it up and try to seek
