Gone as quickly as you came but it's not the same as it was before

Art for art's sake but it's just another piece added to your repertoire

And I know how it sounds

The air pounds so profound through the door

And once more you think you know exactly what you're here for

And you're sure that you'll mince words so you pack 'em in so they don't see right through to you

And gone are the days wandering just expecting all the easy views

And it might have been a phase

But now you're counting those days just the same
