The Rug

I couldn't stop walking

My feet knew where they were going

But my mind had no idea

The tall trees stood taller as my body grew smaller

And I just kept walking

As the sound of my footsteps grew further and further away

The music grew louder, the minutes became hours

But I just kept walking

As the pinecones became boulders

And the boulders became mountains

The rivers became oceans

And the oceans spilled over
