People warn me about rose-tinted glasses, as it goes

But my values are not old fashioned, nor are they guilty

The past is not always a shame

So why should it take all the blame

We often forget whence we came

But not all old things are the same

I'm not defending the sins that took place in the old days

But don't fool yourself – future ones will judge us all like that
