I'm counting stars in the sky on a sandy beach

You're my shooting star even though you're out of reach

You're my reason for existing this ain't no delusion

But I'm losing my compunction in all this confusion

Life is black and white nickel and dime

It's always junk food at the drive through to take out and dine

I guess I'll look you up on Instagram waiting in line

But then I'm sighing at my actions, God give me a sign

Barely wake up from my gin and tonic liquor

Start my early day with my Panasonic shaver

Grab my phone in hopes of calming my dysphoric nature

Someone rescue me from this cyclic behavior
