In The Dark

Nobody cares is a hard pill to swallow

But the older we get the more we'll know

This northwest air grows stale as we're falling down

The rocky ledge life dare not grow

So don't swim just let the rivers take you

Down their path of least resistance

And when we wash ashore no one is there there to find you

No one was looking in the first place

So here we are just bones and scars

Never got the chance to make our mark

And here we are just observing stars
